Antigoni Giannakaki is a lawyer and a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2006. She graduated from the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace and holds two Master’s degrees from the University of Piraeus: “Financial and Institutional Framework of Money and Capital Markets” and “Law and Information and Communication Technologies.”
She has extensive professional experience in both the public and private sectors. From May 2024 to December 2025, she served as Deputy Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority, responsible for strategic planning. During her tenure, she led and supported major initiatives related to the establishment and implementation of the national regulatory framework for cybersecurity, the implementation of flagship European projects, and the development of the updated National Cybersecurity Strategy.
From 2013 to 2015, she served as a Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Finance. From 2019 to 2023, she served as a Legal Advisor at the Ministry of Digital Governance.
In the course of her duties, she made a substantial contribution to shaping the institutional framework for accelerating the digital transformation and strengthening the country’s digital resilience, through the drafting and processing of key legislative acts (Laws 5160/2024, 4961/2022, 4821/2021, 4727/2020, 4623/2019) and regulatory decisions, as well as through her participation in numerous working groups and legislative drafting committees.
As a lawyer, she has handled a wide range of civil law cases, with particular expertise in property law, land registry law, commercial law, and the law of new technologies.
